one whose character takes on the nature of the way resembles a baby |
| wasps don't sting it |
buzzards fly past, ignoring it |
wild beasts don't even paw at it |
| its bones bend, its sinews ripple, yet its grasp is firm |
ignorant of the intercourse of male and female, its genitals swell, vitality at a peak |
it cries all day without getting hoarse, because it is whole |
| building muscle and mind risks bad luck |
wanting too much just uses up your breath |
| working to be tough just makes an opening for decay |
such striving, such struggling goes against the way |
Poof! whatever goes against the way soon dies |
