We're barely holding on, so high weSee a team hauling tiles to the top,Balancing on the roof beam as they patch and scrape-Not noticing the kite flying behind them,A dragonfly, its streamers sailing,The string descending through clouds to someBlue roof, far below, lost in rows of other blue rooves,But the kite itself kicks loose, higher than,Indifferent to, Mount Fuji. |
