4a. Design each paragraph around one idea.
4b. Put the idea of the paragraph first.
4c. If you must include context, put that first.
4d. Put key conclusions, ideas, news, at the start of the article.
4. Write chunky paragraphs.
Eat your chunky soup. How many times have we heard that?
But a chunky paragraph?
The idea is that the paragraph should be a solid unit, coherent, unified, one thing.
Not a bunch of ideas strewn about.
Not a long slow buildup to a conclusion that we never reach.
A single object. An element. With a real purpose.
At the core, a genuine idea. Not just a topic you are rambling on about. A subject and a verb: a sentence that says something meaningful. That's what you build chunky paragraph around.
